Hi, I am going to be a new student at SBU this fall. I am trying to complete my New Student Preferences as soon as possible so I could get my orientation date. But I'm stuck on the 9th step, which asks me about my Meningitis immunization. On SOLAR, new student preferences, they give me two options for the answer 1) Yes I received the immunization (I need to provide the exact date) 2)"I read, or have had explained to me, the information regarding meningococcal meningitis disease. I understand the risks of not receiving the vaccine. I have
decided that I will not obtain immunization for meningococcal meningitis disease." I am a transfer student so I know I submitted some kind of forms for my previous school, but I'm still not 100 % sure if I even got the vaccination, and even if I did I do not know the date. I would be able to fine out on Monday from my doctor, but I really want to finish and submit the new student preferences today so I could get my orientation date. Since I do not know the date of the immunization should I check that I am refusing to get the immunization? If I do so, and I submit the new student preferences can I get in touch with Stony Brook and change my answer, if my doctor tells me I received it? Or is the answers unchangeable, and by stating that I have not received the immunization my enrollment in the university is at risk ? Overall, I would like to know if its a common issue and if it is easily fixable, and whether I should go ahead and just check the second choice (will not get it) because I could easily change it later.

I already finished the New Student Preferences form and went back to it just now.
I sent it in last week so I don’t know about last minute changes after submitting it.
The only thing I could change was “Campus Housing Preferences”, which was step 5 of 11. Everything else was unchangeable.
