men's jeans

American Eagle jeans are reasonably priced, like $30. But they are really baggy usually, at least the ones they stock at the nearby store. Guess runs for about $80-$100, so it's a bit higher-end but not exorbitant. I don't know about Abercrombie, but I would be wary of donning those as a guy. =/

If you have a Filenes, you could try that. The one near me had a bunch of pairs of men's premium denim. It was really organized too, so I bet they had a lot of sizes.

I got a pair of women's 7FAM A-pockets for $90...so not too bad

Guy, H&M and Express have excellent stuff in that exact range.

Levi's are affordable at around $50, but they have too many different styles of jeans. I've boughten 3 pairs of Levi's this year and wasn't really happy with any of them. They make so many different styles and discontinue the classic styles or modify them with a different name; it's frustrating to find the right cut along with the right color, etc.

I went to the Ralph Lauren store and bought the classic jeans for about $50 and these are the best jeans I've boughten. And it's good to know I will still be able to buy them after these get worn out because they don't make many jeans.

I thought H&M were for girls only...... I'm seriously thinking about doing all my shopping via ebay/online retail stores.

i wouldn't ever buy anything designer off ebay, too many decent fakes.

Diesel, you are correct. Do NOT use eBay, although there is a forum where you post the lot and really weird jean experts tell you whether they think it's real or not. Still not trustworthy.

And H&M sells both, although I went in there and stepped right back out. It was WAY too flamboyantly gay for me, and the guys in there were...strange. Maybe if I were gay, I could appreciate it more. :p I'm not kidding, it was too much.

My son is finally into a waist size 30 but the last couple of years he found smaller sizes on sale at American Eagle and Hollister. If you can't find it in the store you can order online. My daughter used to wear a 0 Long (I know, that should be illegal) which she found at American Eagle as well. It is sometimes hard to find to find odd sizes - small mens, or small womens in a long length at outlet stores.

you guys wouldnt know quality jeans if they were staring you right in the face.

go here to learn about denim:

superdenim - superfuture :: supertalk

hardly any american companies make "quality" jeans. levi's is one of the only companies i can think of, and only their specialty jeans are good (not the stuff at mervyn's).

seven, R&R, and true religion are not good jeans. expensive does not mean high quality. people who wear those brands not only get ripped off, but have crap quality denim.

^ The quality is unbelievable. I didn't think that people paid for anything other than the name before I got some myself. They are unbelievable. They are unbelievably soft, they look better than my Levis on me, and they never fall apart or get frayed at all. They are good jeans, and you are wrong.

However, foreign brands are good too. Evisu makes great jeans.

go with levi's

Garage sales.

the quality is not unbelievable for $300. you should be getting raw selvedge denim for that price. i would understand if you paid <$100, but $300? thats just geting ripped off.

i dont want to get in a denim argument though. if those jeans make you happy, then wear them. thats what clothes are for, anyways (besides covering you up). its just you can get SO much better quality for that price.

Get Wranglers.

if you get lucky, express has a clearance rack for jeans. 30 bucks a pair
