<p>Saying your english teacher is actually more descriptive than naming him/her because it puts in context what class you guys met in.</p>

<p>I think if you’re going to mention the individual multiple times, it would sound better to use his/her actual name. If you’re only referring to them once or twice, however, just their title should be fine.</p>
