Mention scholarship in personal statement?

I'm applying for a scholarship that I really want (of course), and have no idea if I should mention the scholarship and provider in my personal statement. I mean, should I write something like "The abc scholarship from xyz would help me realize my dreams"? Or is that obvious? I wouldn't be applying for the scholarship if it wouldn't help in some way, but on the other hand, I don't want to ignore the generosity of the scholarship provider. This isn't the first scholarship I've applied for, but it is a much larger one than I'm used to, so I have no idea where the "tacky" line is drawn.

Thanks.

Mentioning the scholarship may make your essay stand out because it would not seem like one that you’ve sent to dozens of other places.
