Mentioning PSAT score on college apps?

I scored higher on my PSAT than my SAT...should i include my PSAT score in the description of awards/additional info section? is there any reason why it wouldn't be a good idea for me to include it? Do semifinalists usually include their scores in their college apps (especially if they did better on the psat than on sats)?

Thanks.

they could care less unless you are a commedend student/semifinalist/finalist/winner

If you are NMSF from a rural state like me, I would mention it. My state has such a low cutoff and I had a 229 that I wanted to let them see it. I don't think it will hurt, but might not help.

What Big East said is blunt but true - colleges are not interested in seeing your PSAT score. It's only relevant if you are named a commended scholar or above.

negative. Yes, you can mention Commended or Semi/Finalist, but not the psat score, bcos the SAT is what matters.

My understanding is that the only time PSAT/NMSQT scores are sent to directly to schools are for the 50,000 or so national merit commended/semi-finalists that choose to have their names, and scores, sent to two schools. That's it. Any other mention of PSAT score would be ignored because it cannot be substantiated. I would be careful about pointing out that I did worse on the more rigorous and comprehensive SAT than the less rigorous PSAT.

Unless you're a National Semi-Finalist, Commended, or a National Merti Scholar, don't bother. They could care less about your PSAT scores otherwise.
