<p>The UC system doesn't take into account an applicant's race when deciding whether or not to admit an applicant. But, is it still okay to mention your race in your application? A brief part of my 1st essay ("World You Live In") involves my race (URM), and I feel like my essay isn't complete without it. Yet I don't want to appear as if I'm trying to game the system. Should I try to cut that part out of my essay?</p>
