Yeah I had calc five days a week at 8 AM (that sucked). You're no super model, just get dressed. Look like a bum. Nobody cares. Shower when you get home or late that night before. If you need time to wake up the ride to school should do it or an hour before. Seriously it really isn't that bad.

I'm sorry but you sound like a jerk. Your mentor has done everything reasonable for you and you want him to do something for you that he wouldn't do for the others. I can garuntee there is going to be some point in your life when you will hold a morning job. Get over it, the world doesn't revovle around you

These colleges where you have to have a mentor/advisor to get you into classes concept is very unusual. All my classes I scheduled myself like muppetcoat said. Those schools must have very specific programs where it is hard to graduate. Even if a class was full, usually you could get into it by contacting the instructor or someone in the advising office and they would get you in.

K, first of all, by the e-mail your mentor sounds hella annoyed - it's likely he threw that "you are only a temp student, so shut your trap" more to incite anger than out of a genuine disregard for all temp students. And yes, the end of the e-mail is condescending. It also appears as if you are giving him a really hard time. 8 AM is not very early for a class. It sounds like there is nothing else he can do.

At the same time, it's wrong for people to call you a "tool", for your mentor to be rude, and to liken college to a job - first of all, /you/ are paying the college; the college is not paying you! Tuition is not chump change. You should be able to bug your mentor and not get **** for it. The college is paid to put up with you.

At the same time, I doubt /you/ have shown much courtesy or common sense, and those two things are the end that you must bring to the table in all of your public relations. Be a respectful client. Otherwise, people will not want to work with you, no matter how much you are paying them!
