MENU and MMSS??

I'm a rising senior who's interested in studying math and econ if i get into northwestern.

but i'm a little confused about the two math programs--MENU and MMSS. I checked the MENU FAQs, and it said that MENU and MMSS have separate math courses needed to satisfy the requirements of each. That seems like a LOT of math courses, and I'm perturbed lol.

So are there any current NU students who are in both programs who can tell me how that works?

Im an incoming freshman to NU this year and I got into the MMSS program. And from what I'm hearing, it is very rare for a student to be in both programs. But if you're interested in Math/Econ like I am, definitely go for MMSS. MMSS is more of a program where you learn apply math to economics, political science, etc, where as MENU is strictly math. Do some more research and ask around. I'm sure you'll know soon enough which of the two you want to apply for. O yeah, I think for MENU you have to be invited?

I'm doing MENU this fall.

Yes, you do need to be invited to the program to participate. If you do MENU for your freshman year, you do not need to repeat the MMSS math courses if you choose to also do MMSS.

To get invited to MENU you just need a 5 on the AP calc AB test or a 4 on the AP calc BC test. I'm doing it this fall as well.
