Mercersberg or Cranbrook, Kingswood?

Hi everyone!
I am trying to decide between Mercersberg and Cranbrook. Any advice?

tokyorevelation9 goes to Mercersburg.

You can read student reviews online at boardingschoolreview.com

I personally like Mercersburg, but that might be biased; I haven't heard much about Cranbrook.

Mercersberg is the more prestigious, not that that matters overmuch.

U'd have to decide...
umm...its a hard choice...i applied to cranbrook this year but not mercersburg
cranbrook has a sweet campus because it also has a science museum and art gallery. Thier art gallery is exetensive and i love visting there.
Cranbrook's academics....i dont know too much about but i do know they have rolling admissions.

Are you able to go to both revisits? It would be very helpful if you can. They both look like great schools. However, Mercersburg is 84% boarding and Cranbrook is only 34% boarding. While Cranbrook is a large school, the day school needs probably dominate the school rather than the boarding needs. If you are boarding, you might want to probe the boarding life at Cranbrook. Mercersburg was too far away from home for us to consider it. However, it seems to be very well regarded. I drove through it once, and the campus looked great.

There is a frequent poster- search the forum forMercerburg and you'll see him come up as TokoyoRevalation9, I think. He is a Mercersburg recent grad and has wonderful things to say about it.
I agree with Burb Parent. If you are a boarder, it is best to go where the majority of students are boarders.

Cranbrook has too low of a boarding percentage. Go with Mercersburg. It will be a better boarding experience for you. I can just about guarantee this. 34% is NOT acceptable, in my opinion (with experience).
