<p>Can anyone opine on the academic rigor at Mercersburg Academy? I've read the school's published information, but would also like to hear from students and parents about the specific qualities and shortcomings of the academy.</p>

<p>I am very impressed with my child's teachers. They are intelligent and enthusiastic. We have been very happy with Mercersburg and highly recommend it. </p>

<p>The academics are excellent at Mercersburg. My daughter is in 11 grade (upper middler). There are no easy A’s given. Students have to work pretty hard to earn a good grade. Mercersburg has many honors and AP courses, more than most prep schools. We have nothing but praise for the school. </p>

<p>Thank you for the replies. My son is enthusiastic about Mercersburg and it is one of the schools he has selected to revisit. Upon reading the school’s strategic plan initiative, I’m encouraged that Mercersburg is committed to excellence, as evidenced by recent investment in its campus, scholarships and faculty, and the rising SAT scores. I’m looking forward to accompanying my son on his revisit day.</p>
