hey guys, which schools do you think is better? In academics, sports and community.

NMH usually has parents of current students make calls to accepted students to help answer any questions they might have about the school. I am one of those parents. I have had two children attend…one who is still currently there. Both loved it. My younger one did not even look at other schools after witnessing the wonderful experience his older brother had. I can’t compare the two schools because I know nothing about Mercersburg. I do knowk, however, that NMH is a top-notch school academically, athletically, and in the arts. The NMH community is close-knit and truly caring. If you have specific questions, please feel free to pm me. Congratulations!

I’m a current student at NMH and I couldn’t be happier. You can PM me as well if you would like.

I can only tell you about M’burg from a parent’s point of view. It has been wonderful for my daughter. She is the kind of kid that is very involved in everything, from leadership roles to sports. She was a straight A student in middle school (public), but has a solid B average overall at M’burg. I am glad it is harder for her. She is managing her work well, and seems to really like her teachers. NMH is known for its sports, so I would say they probably have the edge there. M’burg recently completed a huge and gorgeous arts center. The theater is breathtaking. Mercersburg is also smaller by 200 kids. It all comes down to what do you like? I don’t know enough about NMH to make anything but the obvious comparisons on size and sports. Oh, and my daughter just got selected to join 9 other m’burg kids on an all expenses paid trip to Costa Rica (through M’burg) to study primates. She’ll have to do some extra spring course work before she goes, but she doesn’t mind the extra work. Kind of a cool opportunity.
Good luck. You have great options.
