I'm a high school senior, and I received my AP scores in the mail a couple weeks ago. Looking through the report, I noticed that my scores from sophomore year weren't listed. I suspect that this is because I gave my SSN last year, but I didn't give it my freshman year or junior year. Has anyone else done the same? What's the easiest way to resolve the issue and consolidate my scores into one place?

Your data probably resides in separate accounts in their system. Same thing happened to me. To merge the accounts into one, contact College Board via e-mail at apexams@info.collegeboard.org

In the body of your e-mail, include the following info:

Full name at the time of testing

AP numbers

Social security number (last 4 digits only):

Date of birth:

Current, PERMANENT address:
5a. Previous address:

The years the exams were taken:

The name of the exams taken:

Home telephone number:

The name, city and state of the school where you took the test:

Within a few days, you will receive an acknowledgement message. About 2-3 weeks later, you will receive a new score report that includes all your AP test scores.

Hope this helps.

I thought they were supposed to do this automatically? I got my junior and sophomore scores this year combined (I’m an incoming senior).

Darth: You’re right. They are supposed to do it automatically, but sometimes they don’t get it right. When they don’t, you have to contact them to request that they fix the problem by merging accounts. The only way to tell if there is a problem is if your most recent score report does not include scores for each and every year that you took AP exams.

Oh okay. Thanks for clarification :)

Thanks so much chucktaylor1! Slight issue… if I don’t remember my AP number from last year, is there any way to get around that?

Another option is calling the AP testing service (during business hours Mon-Fri (8AM - 4PM, est I think).

1-609-771-7300 (extension 0, I believe).

It’s faster and much more convenient than email (and they were able to find my old AP scores w/o my ap number from last year – salvador). But again a part of me hates dealing with people, especially on the phone, so Chuck’s email method is cool too (but so far the people at the AP services have been very nice and helpful).

Side-note:
Just for future reference, you should never give your SSN unless it’s a requirement (anything government-related, passport, applying for federal financial aid). The College Board has absolutely no need for it and it just opens you up to potential fraud and identity theft.
