My daughter was accepted UM-CP Honors at the end of January. As instructed, she did indicate to the university which particular Honors program(s) she's interested in. She didn't receive an invitation to interview for the B-K and, to date, hasn't been contacted regarding any other merit aid. So, at this point, should we assume that she isn't going to receive any merit from UMD, or do they normally wait until mid-to-late March, or even April, to award any scholarships, other than B-K, to prospective students?

Good question since we are in the same situation.

I don’t think that they have been sent out yet. No one seems to have heard anything

I received a merit scholarship two years ago. I believe I heard at the end of March. Hope that is helpful!

I’m sure that of the people who applied to MD and post here there will be several people who get varying amounts for the Presidential Scholarship.

Thanks for the responses so far. I take it that they have yet to award any other scholarships, so we’ll sit tight for another few weeks unless we hear otherwise.

FWIW, last year my daughter’s Presidential Scholarship letter was dated March 9. I don’t know whether they were all sent out at the same time, or whether this year’s letter’s will be sent at the same time as last year.

I’m worried about this too.

I got the 5k presidential scholarship in the mail today. I have 1490/1600 SAT & a 4.0 UW GPA

Me too, I got 8k President’s Scholarship with 1540 + 4.00/4.74.

My daughter got a Dean’s for $1,500 for the first year only. Which is not going to be enough. GPA 4.0/4.69 , 6 AP classes with 5’s on all AP exams but she only took the SAT once because her counselor said her 1380/2060 were good enough. Unfortunately that seems to be good enough for admission everywhere but not good enough for Scholarship money.

When did yo go for the interview?

There wasn’t one.

Received letter today. $5000 w/2280 SAT, 34 ACT, and 4.0 uw GPA

Are all of you getting scholarships in state?

$4500 Dean’s with a 3.67UW (4.24W) and a 1400/2100 SAT. Life is good :)

$5,000 Presidents with 3.88/4.63 and 1450. Instate. Yeah!!

Congratulations, one and all.

dean’s for $4500 for each of my first two years
3.74/4.33 GPA, 1400 SAT

I’m in-state.
