Merit Aid Overseas!

My unweighted GPA is 3.87, my SAT score is 2090, I've received two 5's on the two AP tests I've taken to date (micro/macro econ), and as a junior I'm currently enrolled in 4 AP classes and plan to take 5 more next year. I want to go to St. Andrews in Scotland to study international relations, but I can't afford it. I've never posted on this site before, but I figured I oughta cut the crap and get right to the grit, so there's the raw information. (I am also very involved in extra-curriculars, but I figure that's not quite as important when it comes to international schools.)

I'm fairly sure I could get admitted, but I need to know, what kind of merit aid/scholarship money is available to a prospective international student like me? I would need to cut the 12,000 pound tuition roughly in half to make it affordable. Is this feasible?

Thanks very much. Appreciate anything you can tell me.

No merit aid for freshmen international students at all. In fact no aid period. Not even need-based. Internationals are on their own. Maybe Stafford loans from the US which you could take out here would help you.

^What pinkpineapple said.

There may be a few scholarships from individual departments that you can apply for, or possibly a small one meant specifically for Americans, but there won’t be anything that could bring down the cost substantially.

Thanks guys. That sure is some disappointing news, though.
