I recently got accepted to RIT. There is no mention of merit aid. Does merit aid come separately from the acceptance letter? I do not qualify for financial aid but was hoping for some help with merit aid.

I too received an acceptance letter, but i did not receive any information on financial aid. So I think they will send it somewhere in March.

I know a lot of colleges send our their financial aid package in March. However, the merit aid from my other colleges has come out with the acceptance letter. Has anyone received merit aid award with their acceptance letter?

I googled this today and found something from last year at this time. It said that merit letters went out about one week after acceptance letters and then FA letters one to two weeks after that. Hopefully that is the same timing this year.

Has anyone been invited to the Honors Program? I’m wondering if that would have come out with the admissions letter, or if that too will come a few weeks later?

I’m pretty sure that last year, everything came separately for my d. Acceptance, followed by merit letter, followed by honors invitation.

I just looked up the letters from my older son’s admissions (should have done that sooner – forgot that we still had them). Admission was dated 2/17, scholarship 2/24, honors 3/17.

@mathmomvt When did the financial aid letter arrive?

Financial Aid letter is dated 3/23. But he wasn’t eligible for anything beyond the scholarship and unsubsidized loans, so he may have been last in line for getting his letter out. We knew his situation once we got the scholarship letter.

My acceptance letter was dated Feb. 17th, my scholarship letter arrived today dated 2/27. Need based aid I think comes out in a few weeks

Scholarship letter arrived here yesterday (March 3) dated 2/27 also

My son finally got his scholarship letter today. Took almost three weeks.
