Can anyone tell me about merit aid for OOS students? What kind of stats are generally required to get at least half tuition (if they even have such a thing). How many full ride or full tuition scholarships do they give?

Thanks!

CSU’s give little to no financial aid to OOS students, since they are public universities funded by California taxpayers. A small amount of merit aid may be available. http://financialaid.calpoly.edu/_finaid/types_aid/scholarships.htm

No such thing as full-ride and half tuition.

While CSUs give little merit aid to OSS applicants, CalPoly gives sizable aid.
Check out the “Out Reach Scholarship”.
Interesting, because CalPoly has declared it self impacted across all majors (i.e. is exempt from all CSU mandates designed to accomodate “service area” applicants).
I wonder how state funded institution gets away with such nonsense???
