I was wondering if anyone didn’t apply for financial and received a merit scholarship? I received a travel waiver to the Focus program, which, for other schools I was accepted to, I only got if I also received some merit scholarships. However, I didn’t apply for financial aid at Bryn Mawr and so I’m not sure?
@smileyforeverify – would you mind saying how much merit and/or what stats you have? My D17 is interested in Bryn Mawr but will not be able to attend without significant merit.
@thinmints - I received 30k in merit per year. 2280 SAT, NMF, rank of 4/213, 5’s on the APs I’ve taken. I’m not sure how common merit aid from Bryn Mawr is, but I expressed a lot of interest which I think is especially important to LACs like Bryn Mawr and definitely helped me. @server456 - I messaged you privately.
I’m curious if BM ever stacks merit aid on top of need-based financial aid. Does anyone know? I ask because their FA (based on the NPC on their website) comes in worse than other schools, some of which are lower ranked.
