What is the Merit Aid like at NYU. Does anyone know the criteria they use for awarding merit aid, i.e., GPA, SAT/ACT, etc. Thanks.

Don't apply early if you want a lot of good merit aid and be a minority.

With that said, I'm white and applied early and got 12000 a year, but I really think I could've gotten more had I applied regular. Who knows.

abc, what are your stats, if you don't mind sharing?

oh and why do you think you would have gotten more if you applied regular? Thanks.

HA my stats? do i even remember them? most likely not.

it was something like 2200 sat 4.7 wgpa 4 uw ............ sat IIs god only knows... something like 680-700something. i had lots of leadership and blah blah my teachers loved me. this sounds so silly to say now..

anyway.. there were many people with worse stats than me who applied regular and got much more money than me. they have to court you when you apply regular - i was early and obligated to go to the school. they stopped caring about me when regular decision kids were making their decisions.
