merit award for Twin Cities Vs. Duluth?

Hi.
I was wondering if anyone had any insight on merit scholarship award for one campus compared to another.

My son (in-state) has applied at UOM-Twin Cities, but I was wondering if I should apply to UOM-Duluth as well to see if he would come out better financially?

I heard from someone their kid wasn't offered any merit from the UOM-Twin Cities, so they decided to accept an offer out of state. I would like my son to remain in state if possible.

Does it make sense to apply to both schools, or would the out come be similar?

thanks,
jasper

It would make sense to apply to both schools. I know plenty of people that have done that. I think the two campuses calculate aid and scholarships seperately so you may or may not get more money from one than the other. Hope this helps.

yep, that makes sense. My son axually prefers the big urban campus, but we need some safeties just in case.
thanks,
