Merit based aid and honors chances..

I am considering mad town, mainly due to its wonderfully inexpensive tuition, but I am wondering how much I can knock off of it.

I've been accepted into the college of engineering (Biomedical Engineering is prospective major) and I am wondering if anyone can comment on my honors program in engineering / merit based aid chances. My stats are as follows:

ACT: 33/10 35 eng, 31 math, 33 reading, 34 science
GPA: 3.8 UW (top 10%) (no weighted grades, crappy public hs)

Senior Schedule
AP Physics
AP Calculus
AP English
AP German
Organic Chemistry
Psychology
Global Issues (req)
Economics (req)

Have taken all "enhanced" math and english courses throughout my high school career. Took AP History junior year (4), self studied AP US Government/Politics (4).

ECs
Fish and Game Volunteer 5 yrs
Bowling 2 yrs
(Yea whatever, books > sports/clubs.)

Thanks for the feedback ladies and gentlemen.

Congratulations on your UW admission! You should receive merit aid info in your package. Based on limited info, I think your chance into the honors is fair to good.

My recommended way to get a "free ride" is to participate in the co-op program through out your college years, right after your freshman year. Target a local employer (especially the well funded biotech start-ups in University Research Park) who may let you on a part time course load (with early or evening classes) during regular semesters.
