merit based financial aid engineering schools

I do not qualify for any need based financial aid, but my parents want me to go wherever I can get the most money (at a decent school). They also want me to apply to 7-8 schools to increase my potential financial aid options. Here are some of my stats:
white male, family income over 200k, in texas
4.00 gpa (most rigorous curriculum)
800 M, 700CR, 680W
eagle scout
national merit sf
older brother in college and younger brother going to be there soon
I am interested in engineering but I am not 100% on that and I want the school to have a business school or economics as a backup major, and here are the schools I have put on my list to apply:

Texas A&M
Rice
USC
Purdue

Are there any other schools that I could have a good chance at a huge merit based scholarship? (I dont want to go to U Texas) Also, If its a large school like USC or A&M or Purdue, I want to apply for a smaller honors program, preferably a major specific honors program but that isnt required

Im open for suggestions!
Thanks!

UMichigan has some excellent merit scholarships through the Engineering Dept (up to full tuition, R&B). You might want to post on the UM sub-forum to see if you'd be in the running as there are some posters there who have gotten scholarships in the past. Getting into the Honors program shouldn't be a big problem.

take a look at Arizona State. Great Engineering School,NMF full scholarships, excellent business school choice also.Has the Barrett Honors College as a base for NMF's and others, with a dynamic Honors program.Nice setting, great weather, good transportation, big time sports.Kids from all over the US.Look beyond the party school rep at the outcome for engineers and business school grads.

You say you don't want UT. Does that include UT-Dallas? Excellent engineering programs, good merit aid.

University of Pittsburgh is also a good school with very good merit scholarship.

GA Tech offers Presidential Scholarships that I don't think are tied to need. Check out their website!

Oklahoma University.

Ohio State Univ, Michigan, Lehigh, Miami Univ, Univ of Cincinnati.

Texas Tech has good engineering, and they offered a combination of scholarships to DS that would have been a 4-year full-ride. He chose to go elsewhere, but it was a great offer and we liked the department when we visited.

Case Western Reserve in Cleveland offers generous merit aid, has a pretty good engineering dept (very good BME), and a good business school. Merit consists of 3/4 tuition for top candidates (and your stats would qualify, I think). Also perhaps Vanderbilt, Tulane (depending on type of engineering).

Michigan State

Villanova gave merit scholarships to EA last year with a combined SAT score within your range (I'm not sure of the exact number but you would definitely meet that range).
