I was accepted the 13th of December and received my formal acceptance in the mail a few days after. If I were to receive a scholarship, would I have received it already? Or, will it be coming in the mail within the next few weeks? I know different schools go about it differently.

I received my scholarship information when I received the formal accpetance letter in the mail

last year when I was accepted the scholarship offer was in the acceptance package that came in the mail. You will not find out about financial aid until the spring.

Merit Based is in that formal acceptance in the mail.

My son received acceptance 12/24 with no mention of merit award. I called and was told if there was no merit award in the acceptance packet there would be none forthcoming. Son received merit award letter today, OOS. So the award can come separately.

My son received his notification of his merit award separately also. I actually called the admissions office when there was no mention of merit money in his official packet that came in the mail since he was admitted into Honors with a 1460 SAT and a 35 ACT. I was told on the phone the acceptance letter went out while he was still being considered for merit awards. That letter came a few days after the phone call with 1/2 tuition (we are in state).

I received my acceptance online and in the mail with no mention of a scholarship. I emailed them a couple of weeks after, asking if I would receive any and didn’t get any response. However a couple of weeks later, I received a letter saying I received a renewable yearly $10,000 scholarship.

Hey, so I was accepted too, also with no word of a merit scholarship in my acceptance packet. Please tell me I’m worrying for nothing and that mine will come soon too. I was accepted 12/30/11 and it’s 1/19/12! Should I keep waiting or call? Maybe they are waiting for my FAFSA because I submitted that on 1/1/12. Help??? I’m out-of-state accepted for Actuarial Science and I think I deserve a merit scholarship so I hope they aren’t forgetting me!

I was accepted as well with no mention of merit in my acceptance package.
This was about 2 weeks ago.
I am feeling doubtful about it, but I’m OOS and could sure use at least some kind of scholarship.
My stats aren’t incredible, but they’re certainly above average.
Should I speak to someone about this within the Admissions Office, continue to wait, or assume I’m not receiving anything?

Yeah I’m in your boat ashley, someone let us know, should we give them a call?! :(

I am in the same boat too Ashley, so move on over. I was accepted as well with no mention of merit in my acceptance package that arrived last saturday. I am hoping that it will arrive under seperate cover soon, as some people have already mentioned on this thread. The funny thing is that I already have received other scholarships from other schools but I am seriously considering UCONN and being from out of state, a scholarship would really help.

Still waiting, still nothing…

Still no word on merit scholarship. Called admissions today and was told that the college of agriculture and natural resources gives out their scholarships seperately from the rest of the university. They said it would be some time in March or April. Can anyone verify this? Has anyone else been admitted to the same school and received a merit scholarship yet?
