Merit money and poli sci.

Wow...this school is expensive!

Is merit money easy to come by?

Also, is the poly sci department really as good as I've read?

Poli sci dept is one of the best in the country

i don't know, i haven't gotten in yet.. but from what i read, it seems relatively easy. plus, rochester gives a lot of aid, thankfully. considering that not long ago, you could get merit aid simply by having above a 1350 SAT (i hear that's not the case anymore, tho), it's easier to get than at some colleges of the same prestige.. most, i'd even say

I am in the polisci department and while its hard, it is top notch... It's small yet it yields a lot of research...

Is there a bell curve in social science courses?

In my personal experience of one course so far, yes... The curve is extremely restrictive... Only 5 A range grades out of a class of 75 students

idk about the social science courses, but i heard from some current students that it does give quite a bit of money. i would think coming from all the corporate companies in the area. i mean, come on, the headquarters of like every company are there like kodak, zerox, etc. hopefully, they give me a good portion of their wealth! lol.
