what sorts of schoalrships does tulane offer based on academics??

Hello caliboi1313,

To my knowledge, they give upwards from 16K on. You have to have a decent gpa (well granted you have to have somewhat good stats to get in I think) and good sat (although somehow they must have missed my sat score..haha.)

They do offer full scholarships (only for tuition) if you have i think a 1450+ sat and 5% rank. something to that effect. so, it all depends.

Good luck!!

1450 as in math+verbal/reading? i have a 1480...and im in the top 1% of my class...

Listed above are the scholarships that Tulane gives based on merit, geography, or need. Rewards go from 8k to tuition fully paid. A student with your stat is encouraged to apply for the DHS. Read the link above for more information.

if your in the top 1% of your class with a 1480/1600 youll get some kind of scholarship

haha you'll get deans. congrats!

You probably only need top 10% and 1300 to get the lowest scholarship

It varies year by year, and it is best to simply ask admissions if they have and are willing to give previous years stats. They may or may not. If you PM me, I will be happy to tell you what I got and what my stats were.

i mean...i was in the top 13% of the my class, got an 1170, and still got 16K a year. so, anything can happen!

i was class valedictorian, with a 32 on my act and 1510 on my sat and i got a scholarship as a freshman, however i decided to transfer there instead of go as a freshman

jayhawk, i thought you were an incoming freshman. huh. btw, i pmed you back lol

lmao nope back 2 u

caliboi -The great thing about Tulane merit scholarships is that the applications are done in November/early-December, so they don't interfere with anything but EA/ED applications. My D applied EA and was awarded Dean's with stats slightly below yours. Applying for the DHS is a no-brainer IMHO, especially with your stats. Good luck!

You will probably get the DSA (ditinguised scholar award) which I think is 22K now. You would be eligible for the Deans, which is a full tuition (aka 3/4) scholarship. But you need to apply, and do a project. Which isn't a big deal, you just have to do it. So do it!! :)
