Hi everyone! With mid-February coming around the corner, we should be expecting decisions on the Signature Scholars programs. Just thought I’d make a discussion, so everyone can share their results on here

Do the merit scholarship decisions come out with ED2? And what is the indication of acceptance for RD apps? Could someone clarify please haha
Any guess on what the exact day for notice may be?
@dtrope I’m pretty sure that they come out after Presidents’ Day each year, so I would assume we will be hearing back sometime that week.
I don’t think they come out with ED2 unless they’re departmental because Signature Scholars come out separately. If you get a Signature scholarship, then you’re essentially admitted, but RD decisions don’t come out until mid-March.
Did anyone ever receive a confirmation email for the scholarships? I only received one for my main app.
Regarding the timing of the final award decisions of the signature merit scholarships (Danforth, Rodriguez, Ervin), the awards come after ED1 and ED2. Those scholarship awards are timed to coincide more with RD timing.
You are first notified if you are a scholarship finalist and then all finalist go to WashU for an interview process. Then final scholarship awards are announced soon after. You can be ED1 or ED2 and still receive a signature scholarship during that normal timing but it will be after the ED timing.
How are you notified if you make it to finalist? via email or pathway?
They will call all the finalists.
What about internationals? Do we even stand a chance to get the scholarships?

Did either of you have an interveiw with or some other contact (on campus, phone follow up) with the alumn who gave you the call? Curious if you think any prior “demonstrated interest” might have helped your cause. Congrats - great way to start the week!
From a friend last year, they are making calls in waves - so be on the look out this week?

Anyone know how many finalists, and whether finalists also receive some sort of scholarship regardless of being a like finalist finalist.
