<p>Just going to pray for merit aid, because I won’t be getting any financial aid and can’t afford $60k. Getting accepted was actually bittersweet since I probably can’t go.</p>
<p>We’re in the same boat. My daughter was accepted and we really love the school but without Merit it just won’t be an option. </p>
<p>Yep…I am in the No Merit No Go club too. I thought they gave decent merit, but now am hearing that they no longer do Hope that is incorrect.</p>
<p>I think they still do, but its rare and they don’t advertise it. Fingers crossed!</p>
<p>Has anybody received a merit offer yet? Going by last year’s threads it looks like the merit info comes in a separate mailing after the acceptance. </p>
<p>I just got a Presidential Scholars scholarship in the mail today. It said it’s less than 5% of the incoming class, which I guess is why it seemed that Brandeis doesn’t do much merit aid. I tried looking on their website and couldn’t even find a single thing about the Presidential Scholars, which is weird. I am only an hour away from Brandeis though so I’m sure there’s more letters in the mail for others tomorrow!</p>
<p>@morgan19 How much was the Presidential Scholarship for? I’m probably not in the top 5%, but I need to hope for something, I don’t want to have to cross Brandeis off the list</p>

<p>Did the merit scholarship come with your regular congratulations packet or was it a separate letter? </p>
<p>My S also got the Presidential Scholarship. The letter is interesting as it says it is a needs based merit scholarship. But it doesn’t look like you have to express need every year as the qualifications to keep getting are maintaining certain GPA. My guess is that you had to have both need and good stats to get the scholarship. I am also local so others will likely get in the mail today or tomorrow. </p>

<p>I just got my 15k dean’s scholarship as well–does anyone know what percentage of the class receives them? I’m wondering when FA packages will come so I know if we have enough to cover the costs…</p>

<p>I just received a 17,500 annual presidential scholarship. I wasn’t really considering Brandeis before, but now I am. Is Brandeis open to negotiating merit aid? If I can get another five thousand or so per year, I may be willing to commit.</p>
