I've been following some of your threads, acceptance info and awards given.
Did you have to apply specifically for each merit award or did it just come with the acceptance letter?
I looked at the Ithaca website and saw the link to 3 merit awards but they seem very restrictive.
Please pass along any information on Merit awards that you can and possibly the stats you/your child had to receive them. I'd like to know if it is practical for my son to apply (is a junior this year and we are compiling our list of schools).
Thanks so much in advance.

If you download the pdf file there is more.
Some of them have separate applications like the MLKJ one and the leadership scholarship (which I applied for).
The other ones you don't have to. When I received my acceptance letter I was informed of a $9000 math and science scholarship I had been awarded and didn't apply for.

unless you are applying to a special scholarship (i.e. leadership, mlk, park) then the merit award should come with your acceptance letter. but, if you don't get anything then, it doesn't mean that you won't later. :)
