hello i am a freshman at a state college.
however i am hopefully transferring to NYU by fall of this year.
I heard that merit scholarships are hard to come by for transfers.
if i do matriculate at NYU then it will be in the hospitality school
if, i do get in..does that limited amount of MERIT scholarship
apply even in my second year.
i am asking this becausae it was stated by an NYU official that
transfers hardly get merit scholarship. thank you. and does anyone
know the requirements to be part of it?

Cornell University has a Hospitality School on their web site they mention that starting jobs average 39,000 - 40,000.

thanks but wrong thread?
or were you trying to point something else out?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, sang12345, but this link might be helpful. http://nyu.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4294011391/m/1621006461

thank you very much for the link.
i actually knew that but i was wondering if i WERE accepted..am i still subject to a small amount of scholarship even the year AFTER my first entry? or is it possible to then be granted another merit-scholarship based on my achievements?
because from the information that i have gathered it seems like these scholarships are only handed to students that start as freshman? thanks.

I don't think you read it correctly, sang12345. Transfer students ARE eligible for money - by definition, transfer students are past their freshman year.
