If I do not qualify for need-based financial aid but am interested in receiving merit scholarships from UMich, do I still need to complete the CSS Profile and/or FAFSA? Or will I automatically be considered for merit scholarships based on my application for admission (even without those financial aid applications)? Thanks!

I would still at least apply. A few of the scholarships have the requirement that you must apply for FAFSA/CSS in order to keep them, so you might as well at least try as not to miss out on those. Michigan automatically applies you for scholarships when you submit your application for admission, so other than private scholarships that run through the school’s network (which you would have to apply for yourself in most cases, but the school still may give links to inform you of them) you’ll be fine. I say this from experience holding 2 scholarships to the school myself.

Ok, thank you!
