Hello

I have become fantastically interested in USC after finding out about the merit-based scholarships available. But I'm not quite sure how competitive I am... can anyone give me idea if I'd be in the "probably" range for getting that acclaimed interview in February?

GPA: 6.8182/6 (or 4.0/4 if you go unweighted I think)
Rank: 14/834
Relatively strong classes, 12 AP courses upon graduation

SAT: 2200 (CR: 690 M: 800 W: 710)
SAT II: Physics- 690, Literature-690, Math 2-680

ALSO... did i screw up by applying school of cinematic arts for both 1st and 2nd choice majors? I heard the scholarships are allotted to each college, but since I'll most likely get rejected from SCA does that mean I won't be eligible for the scholarships even if I'll get into USC undecided?

:(

thanks for any responses

Here’s a lot of the information you are asking about.

As for the chances of being asked to interview for a merit scholarship, you have put all your eggs in one basket (SCA). If you are one of their top picks, you will be invited. Your application will also be reviewed for admission by Dornsife (regular USC adcom), but I’ve never read any reports on if and how they might consider your app when it comes to scholarships.

Best of luck.

Thanks a bunch madbean, your posts are great!

anyone else hear stories about merit scholarships given to college-rejects who end up as undecided-admits?
