Has anyone got any additional merit scholarship from the school of business in addition to the Full Tuition scholarship? Just curious as some apparently got additional merit scholarship from their admitted school (ie. school of engineering). Thanks!

The Engineering College is the only college that basically gives a great number of incoming students scholarship awards. As Pitt’s engineering program grows and becomes more competitive, it makes sense for the college to offer these awards in order to attract top students. I don’t believe the other colleges do the same.
For future reference, here are some of the scholarships the University of Pittsburgh awards to incoming freshman. As to the business school, there is a full ride offered that you might want to look into.

Anyone know what the cutoffs are in general for some of these full tuiton scholarships?

Do they automatically give us information about the merit scholarships? I’ve been accepted to Pitt and I just got my honors college acceptance yesterday, so should I be hearing from them soon possibly?

Generally, the full tuition kicks in at 1450 or above SAT (M/CR), or a 33 or 34 ACT. Pitt reserves the right to pick and choose the recipients, so you can’t assume that even if you hit these numbers, the scholarship is assured, because it isn’t.

I am a female NYer accepted into the engeering school with a full tuition scholarship as well as 4,000/year from engineering.
Stats: ACT- 33 SAT- M-760 CR-690

mictedgin: congratulations to all who were admitted to engineering school with additional merit scholarship. My son was admitted to business school (with automatic MBA admittance with conditions :-), but he did not get any additional merit scholarship from business school other than the full tuition scholarship, for which we are more than grateful and appreciative. He is from OOS and he has ACT of 35 and SAT of 2340 (M: 800, CR: 740 and W: 800).

I guess besides the engineering school, we have not heard any other schools from U of Pitt would offer additional merit scholarship. You guys are the lucky bunch, congratulations again!
