My son received the University Scholarship but I don't know what the official criteria was to receive it. I do know you have to take at least 28 credits in the Fall and Spring semesters and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to continue to receive it each year.

My D qualified for the University Scholarship last year (2006). She had a 1330/2010 SAT and 3.8 GPA.

Yes my son's stats were similar to Seiclan's daughter 1340 SAT and 3.8 GPA.

My son also was offered the University Scholarship-- ACT 32, Top 10 % and GPA from Virginia 3.85 (they don't weight honors/pre-IB/pre-AICE).

So they do no weighting at all?

The academic criteria for these scholarships likely increases each year. For example, the top 25% of freshmen enrolled at FSU now has an average SAT score of 1332 and/or an ACT of 30 per this page on FSU's website.

Bottom line - if want to be considered for these scholarships, apply as early as possible. I doubt FSU will give every student (some 1000+ students) in the top 25% $9600 or $8000 each.

i got the university scholars scholarship, i had a 30 act.
