<p>Would be helpful if those accepted (congrats btw!) can post the amount NYU gave out for Merit Scholarship in comparison to stats.</p>
<p>If you are curious about amounts given for merit aid, be certain to know whether the recipient had any financial need. NYU gives out “merit” awards as part of financial aid packages, but those same awards are not available if there isn’t any need. The stats may be one variable, but the amount of need is another.</p>
<p>But they also weight SAT/ACT alot… :(</p>
<p>If your talking about National Merit Scholarships, through the NMSQT testing, NYU offers 90 each year- the highest number offered out of all universities who offer merit scholarships.</p>
