I just received the update on my Uchicago account saying that we qualify for no Financial Aid (which we sort of expected)- however, does anyone know if merit scholarships have been sent out? How large are they generally? Seeing the glaring 65k pricetag is making me nervous about whether I can afford to attend. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

My daughter got in and received a likely letter as well. She was notified via the likely letter of her Merit Scholarship then. When regular decisions came out she received the full aid details including the Merit Aid amount. I’m assuming students were notified of Merit aid when they were emailed about their acceptance. Anyone else know?

They have been sending them out as they see fit. They are given in 5, 10, and 15k increments.

I’m pretty sure they stop sending them out by the end of April.

And I believe there was an one time class fee of bit over $1,000. I was looking for COA 2013-14, but could not find it online. If you have that information, can you share? Thanks!

Geez, it posted my response to the other thread here…
