Merit Scholarships Matter? Take away from Fin Aid?

Hey guys,

I just got a Chancellor's Scholarship for $8,000 per year to my ED school. The school has $50,000 in payments I would have to pay. Now I'm happy, because I didn't think I would get any scholarships. However, I am wondering if the college is going to consider my scholarship and give me less money in fin aid.

Your merit scholarship will be considered when your need based aid package is awarded. You will have less need as a result of the scholarship. How you are affected really depends on your financial situation. Scholarships are never a bad thing!
