5Pants, my D's Trustee's Scholarship is also all four years and just about cuts it in half too because it is 20K and the school costs something like 48K. It helps. :) Like you, I have two in college :D.

I check with my student who attended the OU MT audition and she confirmed what I remembered. All the MT students stated that they had received scholarships of some kind.
However, there was never any promise that incoming MT students would be guaranteed that.

Mary Anna--I'm sorry; I read your post incorrectly and asked my d if they had announced at OU that everyone DOES receive a merit scholarship. I now see you were saying that the MT kids who were at the audition stated that they had received some sort of merit scholarship. I worded my question wrong to my d and got the wrong answer!

So far from personal experience, I can tell you that Point Park, OCU, and BW all offer acceptance to the college independent of and before the occurance of an MT audition. All three offered nice academic / merit based scholarships with the academic acceptance. All scholarships would be for four years as long as standards are maintained - grade point, number of hours enrolled, etc.
