On a scale from 1 to 10, how hard is it to get a merit scholarship to Claremont McKenna? Even more so, how many are there in total?
Thanks. ;p

[Academic Scholarships, Types of Aid, Financial Aid, Claremont McKenna College](http://www.claremontmckenna.edu/finanaid/types/scholarships.php)

So they offer 20 McKenna Achievement (4x$10k), 5 Seaver Leadership (4x$40k), 10-12 Interdisciplinary Science Scholarship (4x$40) and $1-2k National Merit

You have got to be in the top 1-2% of their pool to be competitive. But they do end up giving out about twice as many scholarships as this because their yield is about 50% for these applicants.

With these qualifications (xD) and a projected 2200+ (even 2300 is possible) SAT score, do I have any realistic chance in qualifying for a significant merit scholarship for Claremont McKenna?

Be brutal. Thanks.

The McKenna scholarships are for students who show academic and extracurricular promise and who will likely shine in the CMC community. Strip away all the ********, and that means they’re for students who would otherwise go to any Ivy. If you think you could get into a couple Ivies you might be qualified for the McKenna. But they’re extremely difficult to get.

Would a 2320 SATI, a 4.46 WGPA, and significant ECs do some good? xD
