Does M give out merit scholarships? Has anyone posting here received merit? If so I would be interested to know how much $$ and also SAT score. Thanks!

Yes. Muhlenberg offers merit awards. [Muhlenberg College Financial Aid - Muhlenberg Merit Scholarships](http://www.muhlenberg.edu/main/aboutus/finaid/applyingForAid/merit.html)

do you have a sense of what the $$ size of the scholarships are? if your s/d received one could you post amount and SAT score?

My dd received the Tuition Exchange Scholarship which is based on merit and based against those applicants that also submitted for Tuition Exchange. I work in a private college so that is how we are eligible for it. It is different (and more money) than the regular Berg merit money so not sure if you want it to compare.

Need at least 1300 (often higher) on M+V SAT. Awards 12-15k. Additional awards like the Dana Scholarship (3-4k/yr?) are available in a competitive process after receiving acceptance (you would receive an invite to apply for those).

My daughter was excited today to receive an invitation to apply for the Dana Associates program which carries a $4k merit grant. We are researching this opportunity now, but it involves writing another essay. Sounds like a fantastic opportunity!

^^^
Good luck to your daughter (and to you LOL).
My dd told me last week that the Admitted Students started a group on FB for the Muhlenberg Class of 2016 and they all plan on getting together in the next couple of months in the city. How great it will be that they can all get to know each other before they arrive.
Good luck again to your daughter.

Thanks for the good wishes. I still have never visited despite growing up about 30 miles from there. Muhlenberg only got on my daughters radar due to the Princet0n Rev1ew book: 377 Best Colleges. I am looking forward to learning more about this school this spring, but i doubt my d will join a FB group until she decides where she’s going!
