Merit Scholarships?

Ive been hearing the majority of them have been released
i was really hoping for a scholarship....i got accepted in late October but am an engineering major so any word?

They're tough to come by, man. Don't be disappointed if you didn't get one.

thanks, i was just wonderin if engineering ones actually were chosen yet...or the majority of them which one was "automatically entered for" if they applied

Do you have to do anything to be considered for merit scholarships? Or are you automatically considered for them? I was accepted to the college of LSA today, but have yet to recieve any information about scholarships...

bump, Id like to know the answer for this as well

Is there a deadline for applying for these scholarships

there are only a few merit scholarships for which you need to contact the admissions office...and I think they're region-specific.
Others will come your way automatically, if they think you're qualified.

november 1 is the priority deadline. If you applied after that, I wouldn't get your hopes up about anything.

true...but some are still up for grabs. Nominations for the Shipman scholarship are for students admitted by January 1 (I think?)

Has anybody recieved merit aid? I'm really hoping to get some.

bump bump bump

Quite a few people received scholarship offers already.

I recently recieved mail for that scholastic merit scholarship that gives from $2000-$12000.

xaiur, did you get money? Oh, you got that UM Award of Excellence thing. BTW, can somebody explain how that works to me?
