Has anyone heard from any of the programs yet? I was under the impression we would hear back this weekend.
Which ones did you apply to? I applied to Entrepreneurial Scholars Program, Langsdorf Fellowship, and McKelvey Research award. Haven’t heard anything either, but hopefully this weekend or next, judging on previous threads
I applied for Mylonas and the Howard Nemerov Writing Scholarship. Both are definitely a long shot for me.
I believe the last 3 years people were notified the Friday before Presidents’ Weekend…Sounds like it will be next weekend.
Do they let you know if you DON’T get a scholarship?
@bioninja As of last year, they did let you know that you didn’t receive a scholarship with a portal notification.
I got a call this afternoon! The lady I spoke with said to check the wustl pathway tomorrow after 5pm so I think everyone will know for sure by then.
@ejs371 what school did you apply to within WashU, and what scholarship did you get?
@LesPronoms I applied to arts & sciences and I’m a finalist for the rodriguez program!
Ugh…parents are out of town so I’m at an uncle’s house about 25 miles away, and I listed my phone numbers for pretty much every college application / scholarship application as my home phone number (since I never bother to pick up my mobile number anyways) … guess I have to wait until tomorrow to see my fate.
I have been chosen for the Compton scholarship. Does anyone know how many finalists are chosen? I know 4 will be awarded full tuition, and 4 50% tuition, but is there any finalist who receives nothing?
Wow! Congrats to those who have heard. Guessing they haven’t made all the calls yet?
@owl2019 Haven’t heard anyone talk about the rest of the colleges (barring CAS)
@LesPronoms So do we think they have made all the calls for CAS already? I only saw someone mention Compton (lol I am frantically holding out hope until the last possible moment).
@owl2019 I have no idea. The first person to post that they got a CAS scholarship got their phone call at approximately 6 to 7 PM CST, and I’m not sure whether the WashU admission / scholarship committees would stay that long at school past that.
Keep hope (I’m SEAS so I’m nervous as well).
Any idea what will change on the Pathway? Right now it just has the message about the application deadline has passed and no other info.
I received a call letting me know I was an Ervin finalist last night at around 6PM CST
@WaitingInCPA someone called and said that our pathways should update at 5 PM CST today.
My friend got selected as finalist for Arts & Science today. I’m applying to Engineering and my portal has not updated yet…
@tranquility145 The different scholarships will be awarded at different (albeit close) times, since each scholarship is selected by a different committee, which reports their finalists at (probably) different times to the Dean of WashU SEAS.
