Merit Scholarships?

Hi, I recently visited Tulane and fell in love with the school. I was wondering if anyone knows if I would be qualified for the full or partial tuition scholarships? Thanks!

Yes, you should qualify for partial scholarship, which you will automatically be considered for. For the full tuition scholarship you are also most likely a candidate, but you must apply EA or SCEA and you have to fill out the separate applications for the DHS and PTA, due December 5. Of course, be sure to do the Why Tulane essay on the application and make it as non-generic as you can. Should help that you visited, but I suggest thinking about how you would tell someone why you preferred Tulane over Miami, WUSTL, USC, etc. if you were asked. What differentiates Tulane from those kinds of schools for you?

Your ACT is obviously much better than your SAT, so I would use the ACT only. If you happen to get it up to above 33 that is of course great, but a 33 makes you very competitive for the top awards. Still, for the full tuition scholarships the competition is pretty substantial.
