I'm a tad confused. Has everyone that gets merit based scholarships heard back yet (if they were already accepted)? I applied in late October and got a acceptance letter to college of engineering the first weekend they sent them out, and I have a very high class rank and great SAT scores, as well as I'm a NMF, yet I've heard nothing from U of M about scholarships. I don't mean to sound haughty, but if my app was good enough that I got admitted within two weeks of submitting my application, shouldn't I have heard something about merit scholarships. I'm OOS, so does U of M not give out much merit money to OOSers?

I'm in the same boat; OOS, 2 weeks admission to engineering, no word yet on merit scholarships. However, the last of my finaid docs were just recently sent it. Are all of your docs in?

nah, i dont qualify for need based. but are the finaid documents you are talking about for merit scholarships? i thought we were automatically considered for merit money and didnt need FAFSA or anything?

I got a regents scholarship back in the fall before I sent in any financial aid documents. I haven't received any others since.

Would it be worth it for me to update my resume with a few awards that I have received over the past two weeks in the hope of getting a merit scholarship? They are mainly science and business awards for placing first in my state in Science Olympiad and DECA. Oh, and I was admitted into the college of engineering and I'm waiting on Ross.

financial aid information posted on wolverine access few weeks ago. I am not sure if they are final, but information is already available.
