<p>Does anyone know if the GPA is weighted after they recalculate?</p>

<p>They recalculate Unweighted GPA using Core subjects. Seems as though Unweighted GPA plays a strong role. Son earned the top merit scholarship–both his unweighted GPA and his standardized test scores were above the cut-off. They probably view the weighted GPA only in regards to showing rigor of curriculum (AP classes). He went in with more than a full semester’s worth of AP credits. </p>
