I received my acceptance letter today, which I'm very happy about, but I was wondering if there are any merit scholarships available and if info about them was sent independently of the acceptance. Can anyone help me out?

40 views and no one knows?

As far as I know, Trinity College doesn’t give out merit scholarships. I seem to recall this stated on their website. But perhaps there are some specific scholarships applicants can apply to. Is this what you did? Did you apply for financial aid? If you applied for FAFSA, then your letter would list any need-based aid your family qualifies for.

^^^ Not necessarily, I guess, as my S has acceptances from 3 schools so far, but no info up or down on need-based FA from any of them (just merit awards).

Trinity’s FA status pages were offline 3/22-29 (still are), but the email address on your FA application should have gotten a message about where to go and how to log in for FA status online when the info is released - hope that is soon. This would be the same info used to check online that all FA documents were received.

I had read in the Fiske guide to colleges that there was merit aid but that could be mistaken. I did apply for FA but my parents just got some of the K1s they needed so I don’t know how much I will receive

^^ My apologies, I think I mixed up Trinity with another college. I went through my son’s letter and pamphlets, and they have not yet sent any information about financial aid, although there is a phone number to call.

Trinity does offer a full tuition merit scholarship, it might be called “presidential” or “trustee” scholarship. The offer would come with your acceptance letter. I’m not aware of any other merit scholarships at Trinity.

I’m just curious because I received no financial aid information with my acceptance letter. I emailed admissions though so I’ll know soon enough.

^^^ same here, no info on FA whatsoever. I emailed this morning, but did not get a response.

^I emailed them yesterday.

The FA Office at Trinity said FA award letters were mailed yesterday - my son got his award letter today (we live fairly close).

Trinity gives out approximately 6 full-tuition scholarships annually.
