Merit Scholarships?

I am an out of state student looking to apply to UM. I am not a Nation Merit Semifinalist/Finalist but I do have pretty good grades/SAT scores. (4.66 GPA W and 2110 SAT). Does UM give out merit based scholarships? and if so how much?

Michigan does have some merit scholarships, but they are somewhat random in how they are awarded. I would not count on any merit money but be happily surprised if it comes your way. You would probably be outside the range of most merit recipients with your SAT score.

Yeah, don’t get your hopes up about a merit scholarship…I had a 3.9+ and 33 ACT, solid ec’s, in state, and didn’t get any merit money…Although I got a very nice grant because my area is underrepresented

Well if you are OOS your chances drop. Also you are gonna need atleast a 34 ACT to have any chance. Don’t count on anything basically, even if you think you deserve it.
