Can anyone tell me the average ACT scores that the various scholarship winners usually have? I have searched the site and can find no info on what the minimums are to be considered for each scholarship. I know every student is automatically considered for scholarships, but I'd like to know if my dd has any chance for a nice merit scholarship. At this point, Gburg is her first choice school, bvut I'm a single mom and she will need a great aid pkg. to make her dream a reality. She has a 33 composite, 4.4 weighted gpa, and currently #2 in a class of over 300. Thanks!

She should have a good chance of getting aid if there is financial need.
With those grades, I would be surprised if she didn’t get a scholarship as well as grant money.

My daughter got a wonderful package but unfortunately transfered after one semester-fall of 2009.
I loved Gettysburg but she had a very hard time with it being mostly fraternity night life
and fairly isolated without a car, plus she changed her major and they didn’t offer it.

Good luck to you and your daughter. It is a wonderful school.

My D is freshman this year. She has a Presidential scholarship.
She was 15 out of 479 in her class. over 4.0 GPA. Lots of activities too.
Good luck!

HI CT mom…
My son is a Freshman at Gettysburg. I am also a single mom. With a merit scholarship and financial aid I was able to get a good package from Gettysburg. I could not be happier with Gettysburg…Good Luck!!

Good to hear! Thanks.

ctinct,

I actually had the same question as you, though I took the SATs. What I did was called the financial aid office, explained I was choosing between ED and RD. I told them I was interested in ED, but was wondering about the financial cost and possibility of a scholarship.

I gave the woman my GPA, SAT, and Class Rank and she was able to tell me an estimate of the scholarship amount I would receive.

As for other aid, the FAFSA is now available starting today!
