Anyone heard anything about the weekend for Non-Belk'ers? I'm starting to get nervous because the weekend is in like 3 weeks....

is it for all merit scholarship recipients? out of ignorance I guess I thought it was only for belk people.

Yeah, it's for all merit scholarship recipients. I don't know the date for this year, but last year, it led right into Decision Davidson, I think (like it was Thursday and Friday night, and then Decision Davidson was Saturday).

Do you know the date of the Merit weekend?

She just said she didn't know the date.. I'm not sure either. dont know why I assumed it was only for Belk people... well shucks that lessens my hope that I might get someee merit money. Has anyone heard from davidson yet about merit $ besides belk?????

Decision Davidson is the 18th of April. If it is this year as it was last year, Merit weekend will be the days preceding the 18th.

Although my daughter was not selected as a semi-finalist for the Belk, she did receive a call on Monday informing her that she is a semi-finalist for one of the other special competion scholarships. Her phone interview is next week. In addition to the special scholarships, there are general scholarships that are awarded at the end of April.

end of april... that's torture!

Surely not the end of April! Decisions are due by May 1--that gives students little time to consider their options. I thought scholarship notifications came at the same time as admission acceptances--end of March??

Do general scholarship recipients attend Merit Weekend also?

I think so, but don't quote me. I'd read their website about it on their admissions page.
