Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) to all and to all a Happy New Year. Thanks CC team!

Merry Christmas/Happy holidays to all of CC! I hope your day was fantastic! Thanks for everything, CC team!

OHMYGOD!
how do I post a question in here( start a new topic)? im so lost. helppp mee!!

oh and happy holidays :smiley:

Thank you for all you provide :slight_smile:

@nocturnalduck:

I appreciate the intent to wish goodwill. I just wish it could be extended to people of all–or no–religions, not just Christians.

Because “Merry Christmas” has a distinctly different meaning from “Have a nice break” or “Happy New Years.” It applies only to a certain subset of the population, and discriminates on the basis of religion, marginalizing those not of the dominant faith.

I’m not opposed to people who celebrate Christmas celebrating Christmas. I myself, however, don’t celebrate Christmas, and I’d appreciate you not belittling my belief system with nasty rhetoric (“so opposed”). Telling me to “just enjoy” a certain part of the message is ridiculous. If someone both insulted you and complimented you, how would you feel if asked to “just enjoy” the compliment part of the message?

That being said, I do appreciate all the CC community does here.

@MysteryNoodle: go to “Discussion Home” at the left of your computer screen under “DISCUSSION MENU.” Click on the appropriate forum or sub-forum, then click the “New Thread” button which should be in the middle of the page right under the “Featured Discussions.” Write an appropriate title for your thread in the “Title” section, and then post your question in the “Message” section. Click the “Submit New Thread” button at the bottom and you’ve posted your first question!

Peace and good will.

And thanks to all those who make CC a great place.

Quomodo, my greeting was intended for those of all beliefs (or no beliefs). I hope that we call all share in the joy of a holiday (particularly one that is more secular than religious, for better or worse). I’m in no way offended if a Jewish or Muslim friend offers a “Happy Hanukkah” or “Ramadan Mubarak”. Indeed, a few years ago I was in Kuwait during Ramadan, and both observed the all day fast and enjoyed breaking the fast in the evening with my Muslim friends. Although I’m not a believer in Islam, I could appreciate the sacrifice and share in the happiness of those who were.

Happy Holidays to all! Many thanks to the CC team for all that they do.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Happy New year and thank you CC for a great source of information.
