So we all agree with one another when saying that we love Princeton. This means that we may all have the same sort of tastes when it comes to applying to other schools. I am just deciding, for when the time comes, where to apply. For example, if alot of you like U of Michigan...I will just have to check it out:D (not to mention...it is always fun to compare)

schools I am currently interrested in: (obviously reaches)

Smith is really my first choice in my heart. If I were a liberal arts major, or if they had a better math department, I would go there in a heart beat. All girls, but it feels like summer camp.

so u are doing engineering at princeton? What department? Also...has anyone looked into pamona...what do they think of it. Wow I will take a look at smith (is it in boston?)...sounds like it is a good school...although I too, would like a good math department (considering ORFE)

My top choices are Dartmouth and Princeton.

I'm also seriously looking at Cornell and Vanderbilt.

I was accepted to UMich honors, but don't want to go there at all. Much of what I like about the other four it lacks. But, we'll see what happens come April.

Thanks for creating this thread, ilab. I'll be interested to see what other schools are named.

I'm going to do just Math, actually. Smith is in Northampton Massachusetts, not too far away from Boston. It's a seven sister, and part of a 5 college consortium - so you can take classes at 4 other collegs as well (Hampshire, Amherst, UMass, and Mount Holyoke, I believe). Yes, Sylvia Plath did go to Smith, so did a bunch of other famous people (Barbara Bush and Julia Child, I believe) - they always say that Yale boys marry Smith girls ;)

Also, they just opened their engineering department. I think the first set of girls graduated last year - which means they have state-of-the-art equipment and everything. Their math and sciences aren't bad, they just aren't Top 5 like I was looking for ;)

I really want to go to princeton, or duke, but princeton more

Im also considering CMU and UPitt
and i applied to UMD but dont wanna go there (in state)

im doing engineering, UPitt isnt that great of as chool but they offered me full tuition
but iw ould only go there if i didnt get in to any of the other schools i listed....

I plan to major in electrical engineering, and I applied to the following schools : Princeton, MIT, Cornell, Stanford, Olin, Harvey Mudd, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, and Rutgers.

1-Princeton....all around best school in the country
2-Stanford.....best school in "the west"...and its SO CLOSE, omg, i could be home every weekend "if i wanted to"- note: emphasis on IF
3-Brown....gotta love the brownies...so laid back and relaxed....so...so....attractive :)

Princeton, Stanford, Yale, Georgetown, UPenn, Harvard, and Columbia mainly because I think I know what I want to do but I'm not positive (easily distracted and it varies depending on the school) and I'd like a well rounded education regardless of what I end up majoring in. Um, also applied to Cornell but now it seems a little too intense and humorless (based on CC's Cornell board). My safety is an instate school I would be happy attending.
