Messed up common app!

KLSJDLKSAJD.
On my common app, which I've submitted, my uploaded essay was for "topic of your choice", but for some reason, it says I chose "A range of academic interests, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you. " I clearly didn't because on my printed copy, it shows that I ticked "topic of your choice". My essay has nothing to do with the checked topic, am I done for?

I dont think its cause for much concern, just email the colleges and tell them the situation, they’ll double check it and make sure its dealt with… doesn’t seem like a big issue, don’t worry… Seems fixable over a phone call or a few emails… i dont think it’ll mess anything up

okay thanks! i was honestly going insane…

I also do not think this will hurt your chances of admission. I’d follow up with all the affected schools, though, as asbjaved suggested.

Don’t worry about it. You’re not the only one whom this has happened to… when I was applying to Northeastern via the Common App, I clearly remember selecting my future career plans from the drop-down menu under the “Future Plans” section, but after I actually submitted it, it said that I had chosen something completely different. I immediately went to Northeastern’s web page and emailed admissions, who then replied and said that they would make a note of it. It’s not a big deal – don’t sweat it :)

Thanks for the input guys! I literally saw my future college plans disintegrating… but my anxiety has calmed.
